Global brand consultancy founded in 1965, known for transformative rebrands including Orange, Uber, and the 2012 London Olympics.

Wolff Olins was founded in 1965 in London by Michael Wolff and Wally Olins, establishing itself as a pioneer in corporate identity design. From 1965 to the early 1990s, the firm developed corporate identities for major European companies, with Olins authoring influential books including The Corporate Personality (1978) and Corporate Identity (1989).

The agency employs approximately 150 designers, strategists, technologists, environment specialists, and program managers across offices in London, New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Wolff Olins has been part of the Omnicom Group since 2001. Notable projects include creating the Orange brand for Hutchison Whampoa in 1990, rebranding Google Workspace, and designing identities for Uber, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Tate Galleries.

The firm’s work has been both celebrated and controversial. While praised for transformative rebrands like Orange, projects including the London 2012 Olympics logo and the Abrdn rebrand received significant public criticism. Following Wally Olins’ death in 2014, the agency continues to work with global clients including Mercedes, Unilever, and AOL.
