Illustrator who designed the original Adobe Systems logo in 1982, still in use today.

Marva Mullins Warnock is an American illustrator and graphic designer who created the original Adobe Systems logo in 1982, which remains in use over four decades later. She was a partner and graphic designer at Marsh Design in Palo Alto, California, before designing what would become one of technology’s most recognizable brand marks.

Warnock attended the University of Utah, where she met John Warnock. They married in September 1965 and have three children together. When John co-founded Adobe Systems with Charles Geschke, Marva designed the company’s visual identity, creating a logo that has endured through decades of technological change.

Beyond her iconic Adobe work, Marva Warnock has focused her design practice on creating visual identities for nonprofit organizations, applying her skills to support mission-driven work in the community.
